On the sixth day God created the animals... Does He have a sense of humor or what??? People tell me that my animals make them smile. God's amusing sense of design is what makes me smile! |
I've always loved the color purple. Most likely since it's actually the color 'violet'.
One year our family went on a Christmas shopping excursion to the nearby
town of Fairbault. In those days it was a pretty big outing! We probably even
went out to eat somewhere. We got to wander the store examining every toy, game
and stuffed animal, hoping to find just the perfect gift. We were on a mission,
not just to find something for our family members, but also to find something
we would personally like. There it was, high on a shelf, the most beautiful purple
panda I had ever seen. Where were mom and dad? I had to show it to them.
"Oh yea," they said, but the purple panda was still up on the shelf when we left
the store. This was the saddest Christmas I would ever have. That year as we
opened our gifts, I wasn't quite as excited as other years. That purple panda was
really all I wanted. I opened my gifts and there it was! How was it possible???
My parents just laughed and said, "They had more than one you know, in boxes
below!" |
